• Those yummy cupcakes up there, those are Sprinkle Bakes' Spiked Eggnog Ganache Cupcakes. Seriously, glitter deer and eggnog should both be year round acceptable.
• James Bond's liver was impressively impervious to all that booze.
• Notes for next Christmas: Jen's book paper garland is happening in approximately 330-ish days.
• A Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark movie? Count me in!
• Cassie went to LA's The Last Bookstore.
• I want all of Bunnyhell's book necklaces. ALL OF THEM!
• Not that I'm surprised, but pleasure reading is incredibly important.
• Rebecca discovered a charming bookstore & cafe on a recent road trip named Stone Soup!
• Mark Twain's advice to little girls was probably not meant to be this adorable and hysterical. (This book is a gem)
• Alison Oliver illustrates my favorite kids' board books - Jennifer Adams' Baby Lit series - and I just discovered you can buy the prints. I need all of these for my house.
• I'm so guilty of this, but apparently hitting the snooze button is way bad for you. (I hate it when The Mister is right.)
• Be prepared to cry a bit and then feel horrible about yourself after you watch third world kids reading first world problems from Twitter and Facebook.
• My macarons are still ugly little footless things, albeit tasty, I can't even imagine how Steph made these too-cute-for-words penguin macarons.
• The Mister and I have really gotten into Bob's Burgers recently, and I just found this blog where one guy is making all of Bob's Burger of the Day come to life.
• I couldn't stop laughing at Disney men without beards.
• Jumbo book lover match cases are perfection. (Look closely at the titles!)
• Check out this immaculately replicated Central Perk hidden in Beijing.
• Sherlock is free!!!

2013: A Year In Books

The year's over already. It was a big year all around. Big moves in location and in career. My first year as a bookseller meant that I had a legit excuse to keep my nose in a book, and despite what my friend Kenny claims, I swear these numbers are correct. (For the record, he claims I read way more, not less.)
